In the
heart of the Great Depression, something remarkable happened.
While unemployment soared and hope was scarce, construction crews broke ground on what would become the Empire State Building.
The project was completed in just over a year—under budget and ahead of schedule.
It was a bold task in a time of economic despair.
Why?
Because the builders believed in the future.
That’s a good reminder for us.
No matter what’s happening around us—uncertainty, hardship, cultural instability—it’s always the right time to build.
Not skyscrapers, but God’s kingdom.
Jesus said,
“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you” (Mt. 6:33).
These words still stand—right here and now.
Kingdom work doesn’t depend on perfect conditions.
In fact, some of the most powerful kingdom moments happen when everything else seems to be falling apart.
So don’t wait for ideal timing.
Don’t
let difficulty stall your purpose.
Build.
Serve someone. Speak truth. Plant seeds. Pray bold prayers.
God is always working—and He invites you to work with Him.
