The ultimate resource for every man
There’s a book from a while back called The Ultimate Resource.
It made the case — in the face of fears about overpopulation — that people are the ultimate resource, because of the ideas and innovations they generate...
So people, in connection together, overcome scarcity.
This lesson doesn’t just apply to nations and economies.
It applies to the life of every man.
It's tempting to adopt a scarcity mindset and isolate ourselves — trying to protect and provide for ourselves and our families all on our own.
But this approach can cost far more than it saves.
The truth is, we weren’t made to walk alone.
We were made to walk with other men who can sharpen us, challenge us, and draw out ideas and strengths we didn’t even know we had.
The world might call this “networking.”
But I’m thinking more of what the Bible describes as “iron sharpening iron” (Proverbs 27:17) — making us more like the men God designed us to be.
In uncertain times, going it alone can seem safe, but it's a sure way to miss out on your full potential.
You were built for belonging — for meaningful friendships that build you up
and send you out stronger.
That’s why we say people are the ultimate resource...
Not just for nations or businesses, but for every man, right where God has
him.
If you want to cultivate dominion in every area of life, make cultivating friendships a priority.
This is one of the core things we help men pursue at Made for Dominion.
Invest in a friendship this week--you'll be pleased by the return it brings.
