Struggling to know God's will?
Many struggle to know what God wants them to do in any given situation.
We’ve all been there.
So how do you discern His will?
Here are a few obvious basics:
- Read the Bible habitually
- Meditate on His Word
- Pray consistently
- Obey what you already know
But here’s what’s often overlooked:
You must be filled with the Spirit.
God’s wisdom and direction are spiritually discerned.
His plans for you can’t be known apart from His Spirit at work in your heart.
"The Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. For who knows a person’s thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God" (1 Cor. 2:10-11).
It’s by the Spirit that God reveals what He’s prepared for
you…
And shows you what to do next.
So if you want clarity, take care to abide in the Lord—so your spirit stays in sync with His Spirit.
Walk faithfully.
Don’t grieve Him.
Don’t quench Him.
Trust Him.
Because staying connected to Him is the only way to truly discern His leading.
