Between boredom and anxiety
If you are apathetic or bored, it’s a sign you aren’t sufficiently challenged.
Yet if you’re anxious, it likely means you aren’t equipped or skilled for the task.
The ideal place lies between these extremes.
God doesn’t want you bored.
Nor does He want you anxious.
Instead, He designed you to be engaged in a way that stretches you to rely on
Him.
So if you are bored, go to God for a bigger, more challenging vision.
And if you are anxious, ask Him to help you grow your skills — starting with the skill of
depending on Him.
In either case — whether bored or anxious — the solution begins with turning to the Lord and seeking Him in prayer.
“Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in him, and he will act” (Ps. 37:5).
