God wins, but we still fight

Yesterday, I posted that we must remember Jesus reigns over evil and any hostility toward His people.

His kingdom is already at hand, and is slowly but surely being established.

This should always encourage us in dark times.

But it shouldn’t make us passive.

You see, knowing God wins has a downside.

It can turn you into a spectator…

And become an excuse for not taking action…

And even serve as a cover for cowardice, as we trust He will work everything out.

But the sovereign power of God is not an excuse to do nothing.

Yes, God ultimately wins.

But He uses us as instruments to accomplish His purpose, and overcome evil with good.

So never let the fact God rules over all keep you from fulfilling your duty.

Let it empower you to…

Prayerfully engage the battle around you.

Speak truthfully about everything you encounter.

And faithfully carry out your assignment.

“Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness” (Psalm 37:3).
