Personal growth happens slowly.
And just as no child becomes an adult overnight, neither does a believer become all God intends without a slow, maturing process.
Theologians call this process 'progressive
sanctification.'
Remembering this process can make all the difference in how you approach your life.
It can keep you from beating yourself up over your past
failures...
And it can protect you from anxiety about your future.
So you can focus on what He has given you to do TODAY.
Because...
God isn't finished with you.
He
continues to dispense His grace.
To conform you to the likeness of His son.
And fulfill His purpose through your life.
So no matter what your current state of affairs...
There's no need to wallow in regret.
Or tremble with fear.
Just keep looking in faith to Him who strengthens you to do all things.
"He who began a good work in you
will complete it..." (Phil. 1:6).
