The case for patient plodding
Every place in life brings
pressure to show results.
And if results don’t come fast enough, there’s the temptation to lose heart and give up.
But…
If you know God has called you to do something, stick with it.
You have a good rationale for doing so…
God’s kingdom advances slowly.
Little by little (Ex. 23:30).
Like yeast in bread (Mt. 13:33).
Or a seed growing into a large tree (Mk. 4:30-31).
Therefore…
If God takes His time enlarging His kingdom, we can plod in hope with the work He’s given us.
As one writer noted…
“The Christian faith lives in the light of eternity and can afford to be patient.”
