Our task in this world

‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand’ (Mt. 10:7).

The famous Reformed theologian John Calvin once said our task in this world is to:

“Make God’s invisible kingdom visible in our midst.”

This pretty much sums up our duty together.

But how do we take it from the abstract to the concrete? How does it work itself out in everyday life?

Here’s one way…

Get in the habit of asking yourself:

How can I make God’s truth, goodness and beauty visible where He has put me today?

And then faithfully obey.
