Getting down-to-earth

We all love down-to-earth people.

And we need them.

Their realism and practicality is what makes the world work.

But sometimes God’s people can be among the least down-to-earth around.

We even have a way to describe them…

We call them “so heavenly-minded they’re no earthly good.”

This is one of many reasons we need a recovery of the dominion mandate in our day.

As it reminds us of God’s design to make earth a colony of heaven…

Where His invisible truths are made visible…

And the values of our Creator’s eternal kingdom are brought down to where we live, work and play.

With this understanding… and shaped by His grace… we should be the most down-to-earth people that exist.

“Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven” (Mt. 6:10).
