Should we expect to see more of heaven's values here on earth?

In His model prayer, the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus teaches us to pray:

“Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven” (Mt. 6:10).

Now think about this…

If God didn’t intend for heaven’s ways to become more manifest on earth, it wouldn’t make sense for Jesus to have us pray they would.

But He DOES have us pray in such a way…

… directing us to ask the Father for His kingdom to come and His will to be done HERE.

If the daily news is the main thing influencing your worldview, your outlook for the future will be bleak…

And you will likely feel defeated by the world.

But when God’s Word shapes how we see things, we have reason for a greater hope…

And are inspired to live as conquerors for His kingdom.

So let’s pray and labor expecting God’s will to be carried out right here on earth as it is in heaven.
