Prayer--don't pursue your life's mission without it

Reading the gospels makes it plain Jesus prayed a lot.

But why?

He was God in the flesh!

Yes, but he was also a man–with a mission.

And to accomplish His mission He needed His Father’s help.

So in dependence on Him, Jesus prayed often.

Which gave Him what He needed to be faithful to the finish (Lk.22:42).

And the relationship He had with His Father in the process also gave Him joy (Jn.17:13).

Don’t miss the simplicity and power of this… for yourself.

If you are a child of the Father by faith, you too have a mission.

Specially crafted for you in your space and time.

But you need the Father’s help to get ‘er done!

And you also need His joy to sustain you.

So take care to make prayer a constant part of what God has entrusted you to do.

If it was the way Jesus fulfilled His mission, how much more must it be the way we fulfill our own!
