Getting back to normal

For a long time people have wondered...

"When are we going to get back to normal?"

This raises the question...

"What is normal anyway?"

A good way to start answering that is to go back to the beginning of creation.

There God gave what are known as "creation ordinances" -- which set forth what is normal in His eyes.

So what are these directives God intends to be the norm?

Fruitful Marriage

The joining together of a man and woman leading to procreation (Gen. 1:28; Gen. 2:24).

Labor

Working hard to rule and cultivate the world with God (Gen. 1; 2:15).

Rest

Taking a day renew in the Lord (Gen.2:2).

At a time when there are:

-Fewer marriages

-Less children

-Reluctance to work

-And little rest

God's creation ordinances are a good place to begin...

As we consider what it means -- and what it will take -- to recover what is normal.
