we are...
... flooded with information and constantly contending with overload...
... simplicity has a wonderful way of fixing your attention.
This is why the name for Jesus, Immanuel -- which means 'God with us' (Mt. 1:23), is so powerful.
Because by it...
No matter what you are facing and what may be going on in your heart, you can know:
God is with you!
It doesn't matter if you're a widow in Chicago... a persecuted believer in Nigeria... or a normie worried about your future...
Christmas assures us
all...
God has not left us alone...
... for the coming of His Son manifests that He is with us.
And
not only is He with us, He is working out His grand plan of redemption...
... through His Son and His people.
And this includes you...
... who He has placed in a unique place at a particular time with special gifts... to further His kingdom.
And...
He is with you in these circumstances...
... to keep you faithful and bring about a great effect with your life.
So in a day wrought with fears and
overwhelm...
Don't forget Immanuel.
Remember God is with you.
And be full of joy
as you carry out your calling with Him...
... in all the domains He's given you.
Jesus promises...
"I
am with you always, even to the end of the age" (Mt.28:20).
