When facing
difficulties it's easy to lose hope...
And become skeptical of any possible good that may lie ahead.
At such times our goals become minimal.
Our vision may be no bigger than...
"I just want to make it."
Yet...
The Apostle Paul injects us with a perspective that makes us triumph in our sufferings...
He tells us...
Through Christ, we are 'more than conquerors' (Rom.8:37).
Notice...
He does not say through Christ we are able to...
Just keep going...
Or survive.
Or make it.
He calls us conquerors.
Actually,
more than conquerors--literally, hyper or super conquerors.
In calling us such, Paul is not denying the reality of how hard our circumstances may be...
He knows how hard they can be... from his own experience of suffering.
Rather, He's reminding us of all the hope and power that is ours in Christ!
Which
allows us to prevail mightily... in whatever difficulty we may find ourselves.
This is possible because...
In Christ, we are joint heirs with Him...
Who partake in both His death and resurrection...
And will share in His ultimate victory and glory.
So when your life is hard...
Do not lose your vision for the good God desires to do through your life.
Accept the fact that for His own wise and
undisclosed purposes, He is writing your story differently than you would write it.
Yet rest assured that through whatever He is doing in your life now...
You are more than a conqueror through Him.
"For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Rom.8:38-39).
