Being all God calls you to be requires a balance of grace and truth.

Take some time to consider this.

Because...

We all tend to get out of balance easily...

And this can lead to destructive consequences.

If you lean too much to the grace side...

You become overly accepting and lose a sense of God's direction and standards.

But if you lean too much to the truth side...

You become overly critical and forget the need for love and relationships.

So we need a blend of both--grace and truth.

This is why we must constantly follow Jesus.

The Bible tells us He came 'full of grace and truth' (Jn. 1:14).

As we observe His life in the gospels, we can see He was a master at keeping these essentials in balance...

When the situation called for truth, He delivered it.

And when it called for grace, He gave it in abundance.

As we walk with Christ day by day, grace and truth come into greater balance in our own lives.

And as this occurs...

We become more of the people He intends us to be...

And we become better equipped to fulfill whatever God calls us to do.

Lord, help us to depend on You, and fill us with your grace and truth.
