Often when I make
something to eat I tell my wife how good it is.
She chuckles at my positive evaluations of my own cooking, but I continue to make them.
I suppose it's because there's a special satisfaction that comes from those things we've created.
It doesn't matter if it's a meal, a work of art, or a child...
We look on them
all with pleasure and a sense of fulfillment simply because we made them!
Surely our Creator must feel the same way as He looks upon those He has made in His image...
And especially those He has redeemed through His Son.
The Apostle Paul tells us those God saves by His grace are 'His workmanship' (Eph.2:10)...
And not only that...
We are recreated in Christ to do certain 'good works' He has prepared beforehand.
In a day when so many struggle with their identity and purpose, how encouraging it is to know God has specially crafted you for meaningful service in His kingdom.
And you are the only one who can fulfill what God has given you to do in the place He has you.
