We humans tend to
like sure things.
We want a recipe to follow...
...so we can be assured we're making the right choices, headed the right direction and guaranteed a desirable outcome.
But the essence of faith is doing life without a map.
Abraham demonstrated this when he obeyed God by going out to a
place he was to receive as an inheritance... even though he didn't know where he was going (Heb.11:8).
The operative word here is 'obeyed."
So if you're perplexed about where your life is headed, simply obey in those things you know He'd have you do next.
Don't allow yourself to suffer paralysis by analysis... or be afraid to follow Jesus into the chaos...
Have confidence that as you commit your activities to the Lord, He will establish your plans (Pr.16:3).
God did not design life to be a
paint by numbers kit.
He made it so we'd trust Him, pick up our cross daily, and follow Him by faith.
And as you do this... you can know He is including your life in the glorious picture of worldwide redemption He is painting.
Don't let fear of the unknown keep you from taking the next step.
“The just
shall live by faith" (Rom.1:17).
