There's an old
saying...
"You make your habits and then your habits make you."
There's a lot of truth in this. And it affects how faithfully and effectively you will fulfill God's call on your life.
So be aware...
Certain negative habits are constantly seeking to get dominion over you.
Time wasters, addictions, bitterness, covetousness, worry, gossip, etc... they want to rule you. They want to dominate your existence.
But you must rule over them... in order to carry out the mission God designed for you.
And the only way to rule over these diabolical diverters of precious time and energy is to replace them with positive habits the Lord would have you pursue.
Or as the Apostle Paul puts it... you must 'put off the old and put on the new' (Eph.4:22-24).
So take stock of the patterns of your life.
Is there a habit that's taking you away from the good God has put within your reach to do?
Then replace it with a new way of doing things... that will move you closer to the life God has for you.
Consider prayerfully...
What are your habits doing to you?
Are they keeping you on the sidelines?
Or are they putting you in the best position possible to use your gifts and opportunities for good on the playing field God has put you?
Cultivate only the habits that will make a you a peak performer for God.
Get Dominion,
