After Jesus's
resurrection He gave what is is known as the Great Commission (Mt.28:18-20).
At the heart of this is a charge to His followers to "make disciples of all nations."
For the last couple generations this has been taken to mean we are to get people from every country to pray to accept Jesus in their hearts...
And when this happens, the Great Commission will be considered fulfilled.
But the Great Commission is much more than getting people to pray a prayer... because it includes learning to obey all that Christ commanded (v.20).
This means the Great Commission is a greater task than we think... since obeying involves replacing sinful practices with righteous ones.
What might our world look like if
God's people replaced sin with righteousness wherever He calls us to live and work?
Surely we'd live in a different place.
