I don't know of
anyone who enjoys feeling helpless.
Helplessness is uncomfortable.
Sometimes very uncomfortable.
Especially if you're a man who thinks you need to have it all together.
Yet helplessness can be exactly what you need to be experiencing...
Because feeling helpless puts us in a position to turn to God, pray and depend on Him.
When God sent 12 men to spy out the Promised Land on a reconnaissance mission, most of them felt helpless due to the giants there.
So they became fearful and had no interest in attempting to take the land God was giving them to possess.
Except Joshua and
Caleb.
They too were aware of the giants. And they certainly felt a sense of personal helplessness before them.
Yet they knew God was greater.
And because God was with them, they knew they had no reason to fear and every reason to take the land as God directed (Num.14:6-9).
Are you feeling helpless regarding
the mission before you today?
If so, praise God.
And use any feelings of helplessness to turn to Him, pray and depend on Him -- anticipating what good He will do in your life and circumstances.
Your growth depends on it.
So does fulfilling the purpose He has for you.
