When God forgives He brings us a new starting point.

This starting point is new not just because it gives a fresh cleansing from unrighteousness (1 Jn.1:9).

But also because it delivers a new awareness of sin's deceitfulness (Heb. 3:13)...

And a new understanding of our need to rely on the Spirit's power (Gal.5:16).

So with every instance of forgiveness you are really a new person, with more experience and insight than you had before.

And with the new awareness and understanding given you by grace, you are better equipped to say no to sin and yes to the purpose God has for you.

Make the most of every new starting point God gives you.

Use them wisely.
