There are some
Bible verses everyone ought to hide in their heart.
Here is one of them:
These things I have spoken to you so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world (Jn.16:33).
Here Jesus tells to expect trouble in this world.
So
difficulties regarding health, money, work, relationships, powers that be, etc... is something we ought to expect.
Really anything we have to do with in this world can bring us trials...
Because the dark spiritual forces set loose at the Fall have been at work ever since.
But...
Jesus also tells
us to take courage... because He has overcome the world.
Through His death and resurrection He has already conquered evil.
The ruler of this world has been cast out (Jn.12:31)...
And Jesus now reigns from the right hand of His Father, waiting for all His enemies to be made a footstool for His feet (Heb.10:13)...
Making it so we too can overcome the world by our faith (1 Jn.5:4).
So don't let the troubles of this world surprise or overwhelm you.
Recognize them as part of the reality we face at this stage of redemption history.
And by all means take courage in Christ's ultimate victory.
And
serve Him with hope and good cheer wherever He has you!
