In one of our
men's groups we've been talking about 'vision.'
The Bible tells us having vision is critical when it says...
"Where there is no vision the people perish..." (Pr.29:18).
Vision is what gives you a reason to get up in the morning.
It keeps you on the course God has for you, rather than run
wild.
And in the end... it's living out a vision based on obedience to God's Word that brings blessing and happiness.
Acquiring vision for your life begins with a basic reality...
God created you in His image and made you to serve Him through various domains...
... at home, work, church, community,
etc.
And that vision is fine-tuned as you...
Take stock of your gifts and circumstances...
Consider how you
might best meet needs or contribute to God's kingdom...
And be willing to take risks, trust God and move forward in faith.
You really cannot fulfill the purpose God has for you without vision.
It's what makes the difference between...
... trudging through life aimlessly, feeling like a dud...
... and knowing the satisfaction that comes from being fruitful for the Lord.
So do whatever you must to get, maintain and grow in your vision.
