From interacting with friends the past few months, one thing is clear...

The political shenanigans and economic insanity of our time is making people anxious about what's to come.

But here's something to settle the soul...

You can keep your head and stay the course where the Lord calls you by keeping your heart fixed on these truths...

1) God remains in control.

No matter how crazy things get, God is still in charge and working out His purpose.

"The LORD has established His throne in the heavens and His sovereignty rules over all" (Ps.103:19).

2) Jesus tells us to make His kingdom our priority, and keep our focus on what He's given us to do today.

There are too many unknowns about the future to spend time and energy speculating... far better to give your all to what's in front of you right now.

"Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness... do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself" (Mt.6:33,34).

3) We have the Holy Spirit to help us in our weakness.

Through the gift of God's Spirit we have whatever we need to face any chaos or trial.

"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and self-control" (2 Tim.1:7).

We live in amazing times.

A lot seems uncertain to us, but not to Providence.

And the world's current weirdness will ultimately serve to show the wisdom of His ways.

Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong (1 Cor.16:13).
