God is always working for good.

In John's gospel we read how Jesus was accused of breaking God's law for healing a man on the Sabbath.

Jesus answered this charge by saying "My Father is working until now, and I Myself am working" (Jn.5:17).

For sure the Lord rested on the seventh day after completing His works of creation...

... but the active use of His divine energy and providential care never ceases.

As God, He is always upholding all things by the word of His power and applying His redemption to every area under His rule.

So if you are weighed down with cares and responsibility, find rest in Him as He is always working for your good and His glory.

Stay focused on the work God has given you... while enjoying vacations, the Lord's Day, and sleep each night... knowing that He's continually active behind the scenes.

He's got you covered.

"Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burden, The God who is our salvation..." (Ps.68:19).
