Have you ever wondered what Jesus meant when He said in John 14:12 that we would do even greater things than He did?
And perhaps you've asked yourself why you don't seem to have this ability Jesus promised?
Well, you're reading this email as part of that promise!
Jesus had the chance, in his human body, to reach thousands of people -- with every one in about a 20 mile radius.
Yet this email has a reach that goes around the world!
Think about it...
The people you influence today can travel the world with ease --giving you a reach far beyond what Jesus had.
It’s all about using the tools you've been given to accomplish His mission of spreading the gospel and advancing His kingdom.
So we should all be thinking about ways we can multiply the effect of what we do...
Some can write a book that influences others -- but not everyone has this gift.
Others are outstanding public speakers and can spread the news this way -- but not everyone has the gift.
Yet we all have some gift... a way we can share the gospel and multiply what we know by telling others and acting for their good.
Some teach children, others volunteer in a food ministry, others merely come alongside the lonely or those who need prayer.
Some just quietly work in the background setting up tables and chairs for a service or an event.
But they do it knowing someone will be changed by what they do. And turn to God.
Jesus fed 6000 people. But you may change the lives of many more through your personal ‘ministry’... even if that means simply starting to reach out to the people on your street.
I challenge you to find some way to multiply the gift you have received in others.
You may never know on this side of heaven who you influenced, but God will use what you plant and water to accomplish his goals.
This is how we faithfully get dominion in the world.
“Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these...” (Jn.14:12).
