Sorry I missed you yesterday. Hurricane prep had me distracted during any spare time.

Looks like we're in for sustained winds of 60 mph (with gusts around 100 mph) and about 12 inches or more of rain.

Storms like this remind you how dependent we are on God's mercy.

You can prepare like a Navy SEAL, but in the end it's the mercy of God that sees you through.

Being reminded of our dependence on the Lord is a good thing.

Because we're actually dependent on it every day -- storm or no storm.

So whatever God has called you to today, rest in Him.

Do not let kindness and truth leave you.

And lean into the Lord, looking to Him for mercy.

"Be merciful to us, Lord, be merciful" (Ps.123:3).
