A great problem in our day is the number of people who have no sense of identity, meaning, purpose and value.

As a result, we have millions of souls who get up every day wondering why they're here and where they are headed.

And an increasing number of these are living quietly in serious despair.

Though troubling, this situation isn't surprising...

Because we live in a culture where it's become normal for people to try and live disconnected from their Creator.

You see... God Himself is the source of everything we need and crave in life...

This includes not just the ability to breathe and move and enjoy the delights of this world...

...but also have an awareness of your identity, meaning, purpose and value.

So if you cut yourself off from your Creator, you lose these essential elements of living.

You are on your own.

This may seem obvious when it comes to an unbeliever.

But this also afflicts anyone who slips into a pattern of doing life without God...

Because without depending on Him or being sourced by Him, we become like stagnant ponds...

... and cloudier and cloudier when it comes to your identity, meaning, purpose and value.

This is why it's so vital to stay connected to your Creator through Jesus, who is the way and the truth and the life (Jn.14:6)...

Because He promises as you come to Him, your heart flows with rivers of living water (Jn.7:38)...

And through this flow your identity, meaning, purpose and value are constantly fed and enlivened.

So stay connected to the Source of your life.

It's in Him we not only live and move and have our being, but come to know who we are and why we're here.

This is Life 101.
