Just like any winning sports team or victorious military...
You need both a good defense and offense to advance whatever God calls you to do.
You need defense to keep you from getting distracted, going astray or slipping off track in any way.
And you need an offense with vision, goals and plans to keep pursuing what God has put on your heart.
This is the Apostle Paul's "put off the old, put on the new" principle applied to the subject of calling (Eph.4:22b-24).
And it's useful to all... no matter where God has you.
So consider what defensive and offensive measures you ought to be taking to move forward in your present areas of calling...
What do you need to protect yourself against?
How can you best set yourself up to successfully go after what God has laid before you?
Keep asking yourself, "What do I need to be putting off and putting on to live out what the Lord has for me?"
