God has a purpose for you!
But to really cultivate the areas of life where He is calling you, there's something you need...
You need the will to resist.
That is... you must develop the ability to say NO to the temptations and evil influences seeking to derail you.
The first part of Proverbs (chapters 1-8) is all about equipping young men to do this...
... as it pertains to resisting folly, ungodly peers and wayward women, etc...
And each of us need to develop our own 'will to resist' if we're to fulfill the purpose God has for us...
... no matter what may be pulling you off course -- be they bad habits, faulty ideas or just time wasters.
Memorizing and applying certain scriptures can be a powerful source of help -- for anyone who wants to be used by God to the fullest.
Here's a good place to start.
"Establish my footsteps in Your word, And do not let any wrongdoing have power over me" (Ps.119:133).
