A lot of readers reacted to the article I referenced a couple days ago...
... the one about the guy who demonstrated a dominion-oriented life by how he responded to a speeding driver and the accident he caused.
Most of the readers I heard from appreciated such a real-life illustration of what living in dominion is all about...
... especially in view of the negative connotations attached to the dominion mandate.
This is understandable.
There are certainly those who seek dominion through oppressive means -- examples abound in every facet of everyday life...
... from homes to board rooms to halls of government.
But the biblical way of ruling and approaching the world is through courageous and loving service, as shown by the story.
This distinction between oppression and service goes way back to St. Augustine's description of the City of God and City of Man.
One is loving and sacrificial, whereas the other is selfish and domineering.
Noting the difference is at the heart of understanding what it is to pursue dominion today...
... and should encourage you to look for ways to serve every way you can.
"Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the LORD of hosts" (Zech.4:6).
