In the Old Testament Daniel pleaded with God for lost Israel (Daniel 9:10-11).
“… we have turned away from you and haven’t listened to your voice. And so the awesome curse of God has crushed us – the curse written in the law of Moses” (Deuteronomy 28:15-19).
God promised Israel that if they obeyed His commands and put Him first in their lives, untold blessings would overwhelm them (Deuteronomy 28:1-14).
Daniel knew if Israel continued to disobey God’s laws that “all these curses shall come upon you” – and they were many.
Is there any doubt where America stands today in the eyes of God?
We cannot draw America back to God simply by exercising our right to vote.
To change the heart of our nation and bring about revival we must be praying – but not that America finds God.
Jesus said it the other way around. He came to “seek and save the lost”... be it a specific person or a nation (Luke 19:10).
Jesus seeks and the Holy Spirit opens hearts.
Pray Jesus continues to seek, and the Holy Spirit opens the hearts of America’s people before it’s too late.
Pray that we who have the Spirit within us will engage our world, obeying Him wherever He calls.
Let’s be the hands and feet of Jesus in our lost nation.
