The book of Proverbs warns against moving ancient boundaries (Pr.22:28; 23:10).
This naturally brings to mind the need to respect the property of neighbors, etc.
But the idea of upholding boundaries goes far beyond property.
When God delivered the Ten Commandments (Ex.20), He gave boundaries regarding a spectrum of human behavior.
Despite any misconceptions, the Lord didn't give these limits to inhibit our freedom or enjoyment, but to maximize human flourishing.
This is worth considering today because we live in a time when boundaries -- especially in areas like sexuality, truth and property -- have been moved or redefined.
In some cases boundaries have been removed entirely.
As this forsaking of boundaries keeps increasing, it's leading to chaos... with more and more activity we can describe as out of bounds.

You might say we've sown to the wind and are reaping the whirlwind (Hos.8:7).
But it's not all bad news.
The recent overturning of Roe v. Wade is a great example of restoring an ancient boundary... as it pertains to respect for human life.
We need more of this.
And the more you can learn about God's ordained boundaries and uncover them for others to see the better.
