At its core the dominion mandate involves ruling and cultivating what God puts in our care.
And it consists of a lot of other things too...
... like thinking, envisioning, planning, repenting, obeying, protecting, learning, praying, sacrificing, waiting, risking, believing, growing, persevering and more...
It is A LOT. But it's what He's designed for us.
And though we can't do it on our own, by His grace we can fulfill what He's ordained.
And it's a commission we're to pursue out of love... which He supplies in abundance.
In fact, it's fair to say... faithfully carrying out God's mandate in all the domains He's given us is the most comprehensive way to express the love we've received.
And this makes love the purist driving force behind the pursuit of the dominion mandate.
We seek dominion because of love.
We love because he first loved us (1 Jn.4:19).
