Here's something worth working on...
Instead of using the categories liberal and conservative, train yourself to think in terms of good and evil.
The Bible doesn't use the labels liberal and conservative.
But it contrasts good and evil constantly -- and warns how we must keep the two straight!
"Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!" (Is.5:20).
So... instead of reflexively calling things liberal or conservative, ask yourself a question that plumbs a deeper issue...
Is it good or evil?
And, make it a habit to detest what is evil and cling to what is good (Rom.12:9).
Honing your skills to discern between what is truly good and evil won't happen overnight...
... especially in a culture that's defined deviancy down to the point it's become offensive to even identify something evil.
But getting clear on what is good and evil -- by God's standard -- is a must when it comes to fulfilling the number one priority Jesus gave us:
Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness (Mt.6:33).
