Those living in the West tend to make a big deal out of celebrities.
Yet there are no celebrities in God's kingdom.
As my quoteworthy friend Andrew Sandlin puts it:
There are no celebrities in the Lord’s kingdom, only the King and his faithful subjects. But Satan’s kingdom is glutted with celebrities, all lusting, like Lucifer himself, to seize the crown.
In God's kingdom we do have heroes to inspire us (Heb.11)... and models to help show us the way (1 Cor.11:1) -- but no one is to have celebrity status.
Because in God's kingdom the issue is not how much recognition the world gives you, but how faithful you are at the post He's assigned you.
