As the Roman Empire was in decline, St. Augustine wrote:
“Bad times, hard times, this is what people keep saying; but let us live well, and times shall be good. We are the times: Such as we are, such are the times.”
Augustine's words ring as true today as they did at the beginning of the 5th century.
And in our own hard times we must remember...
Though we can't control what evil men may do, we can: do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with God (Mic.6:8).
And in walking such a way you shape your times more than you can imagine.
