Every day our culture presents us with new ways it has gone off the rails when it comes to the topic of sexual identity.
For example...
Looking at the morning news I see a non-binary waitress was awarded $30,000 by a human rights tribunal for being 'misgendered.' That is, someone referred to this person with the wrong pronouns, leading to monetary damages for the apparent "injury to dignity, feelings, and self-respect."
Hmm.
Now of course, all the tinkering with gender today is being done in the name of personal autonomy, human freedom and helping people find their true selves. And who can argue with that?
But beneath all the posturing and virtue signaling we must see what this really is:
It's an assault on God's created order for humanity.
God made us male and female according to His good design and purpose.
As the Bible says, "male and female He created them" (Gen.1:27).
To fight this isn't wise.
And to encourage others to question their God-given sex is not considerate, loving or kind.
It only leads to confusion. And destruction.
I'm not exaggerating...
Every day families are breaking apart and children are attempting suicide because someone is pushing the idea that changing one's sex is a good thing.
It's not.
But what can you do about it?
Here are a few ideas:
1. Don't drink the cultural kool-aid when it comes to gender. It's poison. And it's ruining people. So refuse to participate.
2. Develop yourself in the sex God has given you. Resist the pull of 'gender-neutrality.' If you are a man, work on your masculinity. If you're a woman, glory in your femininity.
3. Support Made for Dominion Ministries. We're in the thick of the battle to help men be the men and leaders God has called them to be... as we believe building up stronger and more faithful men is critical when it comes to healing the fractured families, churches and culture we have today.
