When God calls you to live for Him, He puts you on a new trajectory...
One where you refuse to go back to Egypt and instead press forward to the Promised Land.
The life of the Apostle Paul illustrates this better than anyone.
Self-righteousness, fleshly desires and hostility described his old trajectory... whereas grace, truth and Christ's kingdom set the pattern for the new.
For any believer today, the life used by God follows the same pattern, trusting and obeying Him on the new trajectory He's set before you.
"I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead" (Phil.3:13).
