Living according to God's narrative rather than the narratives the surrounding culture seeks to force on us is one of the biggest challenges we face.
This is tough, because there are so many competing and powerful narratives bearing down on us every day.
To help you live your life in concert with God's narrative, I've created the following Dominion Manifesto.
I encourage you to read, ponder and apply...
Dominion Manifesto
In the beginning God made mankind in His image to rule and develop the world as His representative.
The first man, Adam, resisted this purpose as he was more interested in being like God than obeying Him and executing His plan.
This rebellion brought a curse on all creation, leading to hardship and death. This
curse also afflicted humanity with a disposition to disobey rather than follow God's mandate.
But God didn't give up, and He instituted a plan to restore mankind to its original
design.
Starting with Abraham, the Lord began to form a people who would be faithful to
Him.
From this line came God's Son – a new, second Adam – Jesus Christ, who lived a life of perfect obedience, while fulfilling His own mission as a dominion man on the earth.
This mission involved teaching, suffering, being crucified and rising from the dead according to the Father's plan. And because Jesus was faithful with His mission, forgiveness and restoration are available to all who trust Him.
As you enter this restoration by faith, you are part of a new humanity God is using to re-create the world. You've also been remade to do good works which He has
already prepared for you to fulfill.
This means the Lord intends for you to use your gifts and opportunities to advance His kingdom, which will have an effect on every aspect of your life -- personally, in your family, work, church and community.
As you are faithful in your unique mission, you play your part in the great work
God is doing to fill the earth with His knowledge and glory.
What you do with your life today matters.
Internalizing the truths of this narrative -- which comes from the Bible -- will help you resist worldly narratives and equip you to fulfill the unique place God has for you.
