A big sincere thank you to all who sent me messages regarding the tribute to my dad I published yesterday.
I have done my best to acknowledge everyone who reached out to me in any way.
If I overlooked you somehow, please accept my apologies as I say, "thank you" again.
Some of you related stories about your own dad, and I loved reading those.
They got me thinking too...
In this fallen and divided world, we really do have so much in common.
We all have losses and griefs to bear.
We all have a need for love, encouragement and friends.
And we all have the opportunity to serve God in the short time He gives us in the places He's ordained.
Yesterday I shared how my dad tended to his neighbors and neighborhood like a garden.
Well the truth is, we all have gardens to tend.
Some gardens are big and visible.
Most are tucked away in obscurity.
Yet they all matter to God and are part of His master plan for our world.
So regardless of the kind of garden He has entrusted to you, give it your all in making it beautiful.
The day is coming when He will give you a final evaluation.
And no matter what talents He's given you, it will be sweet to hear Him say, "Well done good and faithful servant" (Mt.25:23).
Thank you again for your words of comfort.
