I keep looking for ways to help people understand what this dominion stuff is all about.
One way is to consider what I call "dominion villains"... because by looking at how dominion is done wrong, we gain insight on how it's done right.
Dominion villains are those people in history who have been serious about ruling the world, but without any reference to God.
From the Bible this would include those guys who built the tower of Babel, King Nebuchadnezzar and the Roman Emperor Nero.
Through history, other top dominion villains would be Alexander the Great, Napoleon, Hitler and Stalin.
And today, dominion villains to note are the deep staters and globalists who seek to rule every aspect of human life from cradle to grave.
The common denominator among all these characters is a lust for power, a compulsion to control people, and a belief they're accountable to no one.
Dominion villains might be deluded to think they're acting in the best interest of mankind.
But their efforts don't lead to human flourishing. They lead to tyranny.
This is a perversion of the Dominion Mandate given in the first chapter of Genesis.
And the roots of all dominion villains go back to the garden of Eden when Adam and Eve believed the lie they could be like God.
The good news is that since then God has given His Son the nations as an inheritance... and He now rules as the King of kings and Lord of lords.
Further...
Through His death, burial and resurrection, Jesus is drawing men to Himself to restore the Father's design for men to rule WITH God -- not in the place of Him -- as they establish His kingdom on earth.
