One of the bright spots in the aftermath of the devastating tornadoes that hit Kentucky recently is the people who have stepped up to help.
I saw one story about a man who drove an hour, set up a cooker, and started feeding those who had lost everything out of the back of his pickup truck.
When he was asked about why he was there serving others food, he simply answered "It had to be done."
There's so much to like about this guy and what he did.
He saw the need... He felt empathy for others... He didn't wait on officials to take care of the need... And he took meaningful action in a way he was able.
It's out of this same spirit Made for Dominion is ministering to men.
And it's the way we're all called to live as we follow Christ -- who looked at others with compassion, dealt truthfully with situations, and entered them willing to sacrifice.
So be on the look out for those places where God is calling you to step up.
You don't need permission to do what you know is good, right and beautiful.
You just need to do what you know you can.
‘Love your neighbor as yourself’ (Mk.12:31).
