And Jesus said... "Mind your own business"

Published: Fri, 06/09/17

After His resurrection, Jesus gave Peter some insight about the kind of death he was going to experience (Jn. 21:18 ff.).

(Kind of sobering, don't you think?)

In response, Peter looked at John and wondered, "What about him?"

Jesus replied by telling Peter that he didn't need to know what was going to happen with John.

All Peter needed to focus on was answering Jesus's call: "Follow Me."

You might say this was our Lord's way of saying, "Mind your own business."

Which makes perfect sense.

Because...

None of us can fulfill the calling of another.

And no else can fulfill the calling we each have received.

God gives us all unique places in His vineyard.

And He expects to be occupied with the business He's given us there -- not be worried about what He has in mind for someone else.
