"It's about more than preserving your stuff"

Published: Thu, 06/08/17

I'm pretty conservative.

In fact, I was voted most conservative by my high school class.

And... my wife jokes that I'm so conservative that all I need to get along in life is toilet paper and a tooth brush!

Anyhow...

For the most part, my conservative ways have been for the good.

But they have skewed my view of stewardship a bit...

Causing me to see it mainly about preserving and managing my earthly stuff...

... Which isn't so good...

Because biblical stewardship is something more...

It's about being fruitful.

It's about growing what God has given you (see the Parable of the Talents)...

... And using all that you have to show love and advance His kingdom.

Now that I see this better than I used to, I've been working on it.

And I pass it on...

Because it's something you may need to see and work on too.
