I was listening to a podcast and the speaker made this
remark:
“Successful people tend to be self-aware.”
He was speaking of worldly success.
But if you want to successfully fulfill your role in God’s kingdom, you need to be self-aware too.
You need to be aware that:
1. You’ve
been fearfully and wonderfully made in God’s image to rule and cultivate the earth for Him (Gen.1:26-28; Ps.139:14).
2. You’ve got a deceitful heart and are prone to stray from the purpose God has for you (Jer.17:9; Is.53:6).
3. You’ve been redeemed in Christ and given His Spirit in order to fulfill the good works already prepared for you (Eph.2:1-10).
Keeping these truths before you play a big part in keeping you in God’s purpose.
