work vs. toil

Published: Fri, 05/12/17

God made work good, and He Himself is a worker.

But with the Fall, work became toilsome for all of us... meaning it's often oppressive and filled with drudgery.

Yet, with redemption, we're equipped to remove much of the toil from our labor.

And this is often accomplished with increases in technology.

Yes... technology can be misused.

But in the right hands, technology has been used to liberate millions for more satisfying and less toilsome labor.

Consider how much more time is available for gratifying work now that we have automatic washing machines and electric water pumps.

Thank God for the way technology is able to free us up to do greater work for Him and His kingdom.
