Why You Need Boundaries

Published: Thu, 05/11/17

Here's a quote worth pondering.

It's from Andrew Sandlin, the founder of the Center for Cultural Leadership.

He writes:

"Sin is 10% intent and 90% opportunity. Our age overestimates intentions and devalues boundaries. If you wish to avoid life-wrecking sin, spend less time cultivating good intentions and more time building good boundaries. It's never wrong to make it difficult to sin."

There's a lot a wisdom in those words.

But...

Creating definite boundaries for yourself does more than protect you from life-wrecking sin.

Boundaries also help you avoid the distractions that will keep you from fulfilling the good work God has for you to do.

In a world inclined to reject confines of any kind, wisely chosen boundaries serve to assure that you use your life as God intends.
