Surviving the Desert

Published: Thu, 04/27/17

Nothing much happens in the desert, does it?

It appears so.

And I assume it appeared that way to Moses, too... as he spent 40 years in the desert.

Yet... the truth is... things were happening in that barren place.

God was busy shaping Moses for what was to come.

... He made him familiar with the wilderness... and he made him into the humblest man on the face of the earth...

Which all served to prepare Moses for the major work of his life... leading God's people to the threshold of the Promised Land.

Remember that when you're in the desert.

Though you may be eager to move on from what seems like a fruitless existence, God is at work preparing you for whatever's next.
