Have you forgotten Easter already?

Published: Wed, 04/19/17

It happens every year.

Millions of Christians celebrate the resurrection of Christ on Easter Sunday... and then they get back to living the following week as though the resurrection never occurred at all.

Sure, there's comfort in remembering God's promise of life after death...

But what about life before death?

... What does the resurrection have to do with THAT?

Plenty.

With the resurrection of Jesus, God officially launched His new creation.

Which means...

The significance of the resurrection for us in the here and now is NOT that we get to be with Jesus when we die... though that is part of our hope...

The significance of the resurrection for us today -- while God gives us breath -- is that we are to be busy bringing the life of heaven to earth.

This is why the Apostle Paul wrote that since Christ was raised from the dead, we are to 'walk in newness of life' (Rom.6:4).

... Because we're to do all He calls us to do in a way that's in keeping with His kingdom... the new world order He has begun.
